Unfortunately for GRABOT, it suffered from drive issues for the majority of the fight and allowed Gigabyte to take advantage, ripping off GRABOT's wedge and sending it flying across the box. Its first opponent was against the veteran shell spinner Gigabyte. In addition to the Season 5 main competition, GRABOT also took part in the Son of Whyachi Bounty Hunters bracket. Thus, they had to drop out of the main competition. With no offensive weaponry and even less driving ability than before, GRABOT took multiple shots from Beta's hammer and began smoking before being counted out, giving Beta the win by KO.ĭue to damage sustained in the Beta fight, GRABOT was unable to be repaired in time for a 3rd match. GRABOT continued to fight but was pushed into the corner and this time could only drive in circles. GRABOT was then pushed into the corner where it took a shot from the pulverizer and a glancing blow from Beta's hammer.

GRABOT was able to avoid a box rush but had drive issues and instead took a slam into the arena barrier. GRABOT was then given a match against veteran John Reid and Beta, whom had made quick work of Rusty in their previous battle. By this point, it was too late as GRABOT could no longer move and was counted out, giving SubZero its first win of the 2020 season by KO. GRABOT continued to get flipped but didn't end up upright until after several more flips. GRABOT struggled to even get going as they were flipped immediately and their weapon's orientation meant they could neither right themselves nor drive upside down. GRABOT's first match of the 2020 season was against SubZero. įor unknown reasons, GRABOT wouldn't be competing on Season 6, but one of the teammates has stated that it might return for Season 7. The bot was designed to be a demonstration for the team's company, which specialises in customising existing disability vehicles such as wheelchairs to allow people to pick up and grab items as anybody else would. GRABOT also fought in the Bounty Hunters spinoff series, but performed just as poorly. It performed poorly in its debut, its rear claws proved ineffective, and it lost its only matches by KO in the Fight Night matches. These maces are interchangeable with a pair of saws, as seen in a testing video.

While invertible, the robot can use its grabbing arms as they work in both directions by rotating a bit, but it does have spiky maces on the back, potentially hinting it can double as a sit and spin bot. It is a two-wheel drive, blue and white robot armed with grabbing hands, a solid AR500 wedge at the rear for deflecting spinners, and eight spikes on each wheel, each made from 1.5" thick UMHW.

GRABOT is a heavyweight robot built by Team DaStroy which competed in the fifth season of the BattleBots reboot on Discovery.
